Alize continues to act very well. Slight fever only on occasion. He's alert, smiling, laughing and kicking. Real miracle or delayed inevibility, I really don't care, I'll take what I can get. We even had our first outing with the kids in ages today. Laughingly it was to the hospital or should I say the NEW one. In 3 weeks Pittsburgh Children's will move to a new location and they had open house today. It is absolutely amazing and I am sharing some pictures I took.

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb74/alizesmom_photos/021.jpg Alcove in patient room where double pull out bed will be.

http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb74/alizesmom_photos/019.jpg Bathroom in each room

They also have private PICU rooms with a pullout bed for one parent, a 60 bed Ronald McDonald building with an enclosed walkway to the hospital, a 5 story atrium where movies can be shown, outside gardens, classrooms, web hookups in each room and hopefully enough parking.

Hey, we need to start acting as normal as possible here so I figure this is a start. Hugs. Karen

I'm SO glad to hear that Alize is doing well. I hope he's on his way to a complete recovery. It's great to see you're able to take him out and about. That RMCD house sounds fab! And the movie atrium. Wow! ALMOST makes you want to need a hospital stay.

Great to hear that you made the trip to see the new hospital, and Alize was feeling well enough to be able to join you
I also think it is fantastic, but hope not to have too much use for it in the future(other than clinic visits)
