Other peoples pictures- What is happening?

Why is it that sometimes when clicking on someone's pictures they've attached to a thread it sends me to another window and the back button won't bring me back to the trach forum? (So then I have to reopen and log in.) Sometimes though it seems to work okay.

Can you send me a link to a post that causes this problem, so that I can check it out? Also, what operating system and web browser are you using?

I figured it out Cindy. So when I've been on the forum long enough that I'm no longer "signed in" the photos show as file attachments. Then click on the picture which prompts me to log in and it goes to the picture and then I'm stuck there. If I'm logged in before I view the pictures everything is fine.

Most recently it happend on Hope post of Shelby's Wiggle pictures. http://www.tracheostomy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18227We use Windows XP and Windows Internet Explorer.
