To add an Avatar to your account:

Click on "User CP" (your Control Panel) at the upper left corner of the page.

In the left hand column, click on "Edit Avatar"

You can either link to a file, Option One: Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website

Or upload a photo, Option 2: Upload Image From Your Computer

When choosing an Avatar, it's best to use a square portrait-type picture in JPG format, with a maximum width and height of 80 Pixels and no bigger than 20KB. This is the size limit for Avatar image uploads. If you use option one, there are no size limits, but the board will automatically resize the photo to a maximum of 80 Pixels in Width or height (which ever is bigger).

hi,

Facebook is not ideal for photosharing outside of facebook. But you can try option one and enter the URL (web address of the individual photo) into the box. Or you can just upload the photo directly to the board (option 2), but you'll need to resize the image to 100 by 100 pixels or 64.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

Most people find that the easiest way to add images to this board is via photobucket.com. You can open a free photobucket account and follow the previous instructions.

In general, It's best to resize photos before sharing online. This includes most photos sharing sites, message boards and especially before sending photos via email. This is because large files can slow download speeds and many email programs limit files size. Some websites resize photos automatically, this board does not.

Resizing photos is a good skill to learn and easy to do with any photo editing software. If you don't have editing software, there are online tools that will do the job. Here are a couple of examples:

http://www.shrinkpictures.com/

Hope this helps.
