Surg scheduled for us....

I have been reading the boards, but not had alot of time to respond. Here's what's new with us...

I got Kadyn's CTR surg sched for Cinc Childr. June 6-27. I am now getting very anxious-it now feels "real". I don't think we are prepared emotionally or financially! Can't get past the worrying. I don't fathom the thought of coming home and something being cut off because a bill wasn't paid while I'm gone!!!

I am also wondering if it will really be that long.? And when will we be able to stay in the room with her?

Aydens LTP is on May 9 & we were told one parent can stay in the ICU overnight & about 11 days later he will go to the airway flloor & then both can stay.They have rooms down the hall from the ICU & you can put your name on a list,so both of you can stay,but everyday you have to turn your key in & go back on the list.The finacial strain is huge,but try not to worry your going to need your energy for other things.Good luck..................Angie
