Got a letter from the Board of Directors!

For those of you who've been following the saga of trying to get lateral thoracic expansion surgery for Angus, here is an update. I got a letter from the Board of Directors yesterday saying that they have instructed Angus' consultant to "open dialogue" with Columbus Children's hospital. If they agree that Angus is suitable for surgery, then Yorkhill Children's Foundation will open an appeal to raise funds. So, I hope Angus is a candidate for this operation. I've been so sure he is for the past 2 years, that I never stopped to think that he might not be. I'll be gutted if the answer's no!

All I want for Xmas is a big YES!!!

Well, opening dialogue sounds like an amazing step in the right direction! And, if YOU think he is a good candidate I would be surprised if he isn't! You are a great advocate for that cutie patootie and you know him best!

Oh Kate, I am so ecstatic for you to move on to the next step! I think that even though we trach moms are very hopeful about things, we are also very realistic.
