Okay, so I think David and I have just qualified ourselves as the dumbest parents ever. Â*This morning I stopped Lily's tube feeding and was getting her out of her crib, but when I picked up her blanket, it was sopping wet. Â*So was her entire bed. Â*So was Lily. Â*She was laying in a pool of Similac. Â*We ran 400cc of formula into the bed last night because neither one of us hooked up the g-tube to her button! Â*We just left it laying in the bed next to her. Â*GEEZ. Â*
Does anybody out there have the guts to admit to something this dumb, or do we take the prize??

That is funny. I think we have all missed at some point
in our g-tube careers.

Our first week doing an overnight feed one night I left the small med port open and didnt catch it for about an hour. Fortunately her flow was small during the first hour at night ! I felt completely stupid! Even a worse one to tell on myself--shortly after Alli came home I was doing cleaning around her trach with a q tip and realized I had my thumb over the trach! I just about had a heart attack even tho it was only for a second that I had covered it! Deb

Hi Erica
I think its a right of passage that all of us that deal with g-tubes must go through. Our dog helps us out though when we feed the floor ( most of the times I've done this he's been on his mat on the floor). She would rather eat Pediasure any day over her dog food. Just call and I'll send her over.
Take care
