Do you think she could have been having a nightmare? It is so hard sometimes not to relate everything that happens directly to the trach, but sometimes... at least it's something to think about. Deb

Ah, I see. It's always my first thought when anything happens "Is it trach or g tube related?" and our visiting nurse is trying to help me get past seeing every problem as potentially relaterd to those situations. Its very hard for me to remember that apart from those 2 things she is a healthy and active toddler and there will sometimes be problems. :)BUT, since it does seem trach related in your case, I would persue it with the dr at the bronch. Perhaps she needs to have a different size trach after the decanulation attempt? Or there may be scar tissue built up? Tissue can build up in a matter of hours and block the airway so I would be anxious to have this ruled out. Best of Luck, Deb
