Hi My name is Adinah. I have been married 16 years. We adopted BJ 8 years ago after being told we could not have kids well well what do they know after being married 16 years our precios girl come along on November 29,2006. She was full term and came out crying and fighting then what went wrong? Wish we knew. She was handed off to the crib unit and said she went blue from there she was ambu bagged blew a lung andintubated in the eshophogous spelling??? After that she was blue. Then reintubated it worked and was fine though they thought extubated 15 seconds later intubated again. now up to date been trached since December 16,2006. They say something to the a\effect of not paralyzed vocal cords just weak but not forsure...hmmmmm On March 20th will tell all I guess from what I am told. We will see.... We are on a HME and at night we are on a hummidier.. We are very fortuniate to even have her. :)

welcome Adinah, glad to have ya here. I'm sure all your questions will be answered at some point. I to have a daughter who is trached and nothing else wrong. She weighed in at 9 # just bi-lateral paralized vocal cords. 9 months later well go and see if the trach can come out.
