Installing carpet

I have heard that the glue and the smell does really bother these kids and kids with any resp problems, so I would say to just air out the house for a day or two. The problems with that great idea is that with the pollen so high, you are inviting yet another irritant in....sorry! Sue

We just installed new carpet in one room and they didn't use any glue. The smell of the carpet was strong for a little bit but did not seem to bother her. I had called ahead to the carpet place and told them that my child has respiratory problems. They said that there shouldn't be any problems.
