My name is Cindy Bissell. I live in Grafton, MA with my husband Rich and our three sons Aaron, Eric and Anthony. Aaron and Eric are identical twins born at 26 weeks gestation. Aaron had a trach for 4 years (hence "Aaron's Tracheostomy Page"). He was decannulated in 1997, although still has subglottic stenosis and reoccurring webs in his airway, which are always a worry. He has some learning disabilities and attention problems, but is a sweet kid, quite unique and lots of fun. His twin brother Eric has spastic quad cerebral palsy. He is a challenge in many ways, but also a sweet boy. We adopted Anthony in 2001, he has spastic quad cerebral palsy, cortical blindness, seizure disorder, g-tube and a big smile. Anthony is a very happy kid and the easiest of the three. All three boys are now 13 years old. My husband and I are both RNs and out of necessity we have become disability advocates.
