Hi. My daughter, Jasmin, was born at 27 3/7 weeks gestation by emergency c-section due to pre-eclampsia. She weighed 1 lb 13 oz. She was trached on 2/7/06 at 2 months of age due to subglottic stenosis. We have gone to Boston x 3 for follow up. Her next bronchoscopy is in May 07. We are hopeful that they will be able to begin reconstruction of her airway later this year. I have read a little about the process. She has a Nissen fundoplication, g-tube, chronic lung disease. She continues to have issues with feeding. We are scheduled to have a sleep deprived EEG later this week, due to that she may be having seizures.

Hi
Welcome to the boards. My 10 month old daughter is trached, vent dependant, g-tube and also has a seizure disorder.
I hope with Jasmin's eeg coming up this week they can rule that out for your little one. Do they have her on any seizure meds?

Hi and Welcome!
My son has a trach for different reasons, but I'm sure someone here will offer support and answer any questions you have concerning subglottic stenosis.

Jasmin is not on any seizure medications at this point. I'll add a picture of her later, when I figure out how to do it! She is currently 14 lbs 3 oz.
