1. Humidity - more humidity dont make more secration, since we breath not through the nose that have filters and bring the oxygen to 90% humid into the body.
2. Suction - in hospital they sux only out, but its better clear in and out.
3. Suction - sux bring to have more sux, without clear the tube of secration the feeling is so hard breath, better do sux not to get suffer.
4. Suction - sux is not painful, only in time there is infection or scar.
5. Humidity - is the most important for prevent plugs.
6. Suction - i was sux in the first year a lot, after it improve. it depends also how much the tube is clean. after i change the tube i have much less sux.
7. Shower - i put thermovent T without filters on the tube, it is great for preventing water reach inside the tube.
8. Cooking - i feel hard breathing when there is strong smell of oil fry.
9. Suction - its better felling when u sux while sitting than lying.
10. Hot weather - air condition is danger without keeping humid, i put on the ceiling lamp fan, its make relief for breathing.

I hope some points help.

Thanks, it's good to hear another point of view. Our kids aren't always able to tell us how to make them more comfortable.:)

The oil frying is interesting!
I'm not sure what #10 means though...ceiling lamp fan? So putting on the fan helps?

Thanks for the information! I was wondering about a few of the things you pointed out (painful, humidity, air condition, strong smells)
I just recently figured out that Joseph does indeed like to sit or stand better than lying down for suctioning-- he just keeps jumping up when I laid him down and told me no- but sat contently and let me suction. thanks for confirming that it is more comfy.

Thank you so much for that! It really does help.

I have always wondered why they only suction out in the hospital but we have always done it in and out. It's good to know we're doing the right thing! :)
