We met w/speech pathology yesterday for the first time to try out a PMV. We went to PT in the morning and to the appt after that. She was sooo ready for a nap by the time we were seen.
They found an adapter to be able to use it with a vent, and put it on, waiting to see if there were any signs of stress etc. Well, she fell asleep. :p
We let her nap with it for about 15 min (I guess your not supposed to let them sleep with one on?). We woke her up and let her hang out with it on, she tolerated it like a champ. It was almost as if she didn't notice a difference. (she has such a big leak now, maybe there wasn't much of a difference?). She didn't try to vocalize, but she was sleeping for most of it.....
Anyway, we get to go back next week for another trial, after naptime. :D We might be able to take it home then. :)
