Vocal Chord Update

Well, we heard from the RT yesterday, who spoke to ENT (don't you love how we all use and know these acronymns?!). She said ENT is "very pleased" with Jacob's airway, even with just one vocal chord working. ENT said the best course of action is to try decannulation and if it doesn't work the first time, give it some more time and try again, before considering other options. Basically, he said we won't know until we try - in other words, let's not get ahead of ourselves, as we may not have to resort to other options (like any control freak, I like to be as prepared as possible!) So, keep us in your thoughts and prayers that the decan will work.:pray: I will let you know when we have a bed - it should be before the end of this month!
